There no dumb questions around here....questions is how things get answered, I have to admit I really up on the league end of things....I can really only answer what I have put together, I know that Mike or Jamie from WORL can answer the question best...I am pretty sure that is how they set up there league's track pack install.

Soooo...let me get this all in a line here.... :lol: I see that a lot of the existing car folders have a skins folder in them.......so if I had a 07 Camry skin I wanted to use I would put it in the 07 Chev skin folder? I have ran the TPSCC at Nawscar and I have added skins to folders as guys have added extra paints to run...but the base league paints were all installed as a pack and as I have said skins were added later as they were produced. The league I run in now is a old school N2K3 league and ALL of us are more than daunted by this transistion so I have took it upon myself to learn all I can to make the transition a little smoother......so ALL help is welcome... ;)

let me "try" and explain
if ya have all Fords and install them to 1 car folder as a skin..they all work( or any make.,.I AM A FORD MAN!! )
do the same for every make
if there is not a skin folder in the vehicle make ....just right click..new/folder..name it "Skins"
then install all skins in the folder
hope this helps 8-)

hay Jack send me a PM and we can talk on Ventrillo and i will walk you thru it

No.. Not quite..

Whatever manufacturer you've painted your car as, it must go into one of the folders with that particular manufacturer.. I'm working with several others on a community update to help cure this issue, but, for now, do the following..

Take your #07 Camry and browse to the COT/Toyota folder.. Find ANY (We'll use 20 for this example) numbered folder in there, and go to it.. Place your new .DDS file within the SKINS folder of that 20 folder.. In order to drive your #07 Camry, you will now need to select the #20 car and find your skin..

The proper fix would be to have a folder named Toyota00 to Toyota99, but for all makes.. This would alleviate the issue of having different numbered vehicles being used in one folder.. That is the fix several of us are working on.. It's a lot of work to do it, but, it's worth it in the long run..

Yes...I believe the Toyotd00 to Toyota99 folder idea is the way to go. This was my fix....I wanted my team...Boreal Motorsports to show up in the Toyota Team folder...and that would not happen if I dropped my dds file into the skins folder of say the 27 car. I could drive my 07 test Yoter...but the team was the 27 team..and contained all of its data in the info screen. I made a folder called 001 and in that folder I placed my dds and veh files and named them with 001.dds and veh. This will allow my team to show up in the Toyota team list....but my car is all black until I pick the skin in the car folder. All my team info from the veh file shows up in the info panel....like it should so that at least gives me the illusion like I know what I am doing.... :lol: Thanks again for you help ladies...now back to the driving.... 8-)

Just a quick update.. Since Dave has made it clear that the next major update will not be available until April, I'm hoping that he'll incorporate the "fix" I described above into the mod with that update.. It changes nothing with the actual mod itself other than giving drivers the ability to have their cars in the proper folders and assigned to proper teams/numbers.. There are no ill effects on the mod itself..

However, if Dave chooses to not include this update, that's understandable.. He's worked so hard to get the mod to where it is now, and it's his mod to do with as he chooses.. That doesn't mean that this "add-on" can't be offered elsewhere.. I'd just personally like to see it offered here as an official add-on/fix.. :)
